I hate Oracle.
I needed to install the Oracle ODBC driver for Windows XP on a computer at work. This is a small file, not more than a few megabytes, and is freely available from Oracle's website (which I hate, but anyway...). However, when I tried to use the driver, I discovered that it needs the Oracle Universal Installer. How do you get that? You have to download the full, 600 megabyte Oracle Client.

Do you like Coors Light? Do you like it enough to drink 24 beers a day for 8 years? Can you prove it?

The Department of Justice can't investigate the NSA because the NSA won't give them security clearance. Again, I say WTF!

Strong words on CNN
"Only a fool, Mr. President, Senator Kennedy, Senator McCain, would believe you when you speak of new legislation. You don't enforce the laws now.

Would you do so if the law were more to your liking? Would you secure our borders and ports? Would you halt illegal immigration? Those are rhetorical questions, only, I assure you. The answers are obvious; obvious because of your conduct."

I'm not sure if this means giant robots or deadites ahead.
Or maybe just random aliens, you can never tell.

The S.S. Grandcamp explosion.
A seismologist in Denver, Colorado, initially interpreted the shock waves as an atomic bomb explosion in Texas. The explosion was so large that Strategic Air Command briefly raised the United States defense level (Defcon) in fear of a nuclear attack. The 3,000 pound (1,400 kg) anchor of Grandcamp was hurled 2 miles (3 km) and was found in a 10-foot (3 m) crater.
