The life of Jim
I present the paraphrased IM conversation I had with Mark this morning:
Me: Guess who I ran into in the hall last night.
Mark: Dutchess.
Me: How did you guess?
Mark: The possibility crossed my mind last night but I played the odds...I remembered as we were pulling in the driveway from the airport..I had to feed them before I left....but then we rushed out to the airport and I couldn't remember putting her back in the cage and the box was empty when I checked last night.
Me: So she was in a cardboard box all that time? Five days with a snake loose in the house.
Mark: Yep. I was gonna call and warn you when I realized the possibility but I somewhat figured the fear of knowing she was out would cause you more anguish than finding her.
Me: Hmmm.
Mark: Did you scream like a girl or was it just a hmmm...there is a snake in the hall moment?
Me: More of a snake in the hall moment, actually, followed by some cursing.
